Each story in That Day is one real moment: a ship in the North Atlantic, a poet setting out at dawn, a new star over Kaifeng. Read the puzzle, explore the sky exactly as it was above that place at that moment, and find the answer yourself.
Questions
- How does a story work?
- Read the puzzle first. Then tap the button to see the sky. You can look around, follow the hints and move time back and forth. The answer opens once you have seen the sky, or you can reveal it straight away.
- How do I change the language?
- Tap i at the top of the story list, then choose a language under Language. The app switches at once. Choose Same as System to follow your iPhone again.
- Does the app need the internet?
- No. Everything is inside the app and works offline, including in airplane mode.
- How accurate is the sky?
- The Sun, Moon and planets are calculated with Astronomy Engine, to about one arcminute. The stars come from a modern catalogue of 5,044 stars. The sky is a calculation, not a photograph. For very old dates the exact time on Earth's clock is less certain, and the stories point out where this matters.
- I think a story has an error.
- Please write to us, ideally with a source. Every story lists its references, and we correct errors in updates.
- How do I clear my reading progress?
- Progress is stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app clears it. You can download the app again for free from your purchases in the App Store.
- How do I ask for a refund?
- Purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

El cielo sobre un momento de la historia.
Cada historia de Aquel día es un momento real: un barco en el Atlántico Norte, un poeta que parte al amanecer, una estrella nueva sobre Kaifeng. Lee el enigma, explora el cielo tal como era sobre ese lugar en ese momento y encuentra tú mismo la respuesta.
Preguntas
- ¿Cómo funciona una historia?
- Lee primero el enigma. Luego toca el botón para ver el cielo: puedes mirar alrededor, seguir las pistas y mover el tiempo adelante y atrás. La respuesta se abre cuando has visto el cielo, o puedes descubrirla directamente.
- ¿Cómo cambio el idioma?
- Toca i en la parte superior de la lista y elige uno en Idioma; el cambio es inmediato. Elige Igual que el sistema para volver al idioma del iPhone.
- ¿Necesita internet?
- No. Todo va dentro de la app y funciona sin conexión, también en modo avión.
- ¿Qué precisión tiene el cielo?
- El Sol, la Luna y los planetas se calculan con Astronomy Engine, con una precisión de un minuto de arco aproximadamente. Las estrellas proceden de un catálogo moderno de 5044 estrellas. El cielo es un cálculo, no una fotografía. En fechas muy antiguas la hora exacta según la rotación de la Tierra es más incierta, y cada historia explica los límites que importan.
- Creo que una historia tiene un error.
- Escríbenos, a ser posible con una fuente. Cada historia indica sus referencias y corregimos los errores en las actualizaciones.
- ¿Cómo borro mi progreso de lectura?
- El progreso se guarda solo en tu iPhone y se borra al eliminar la app. Puedes volver a descargarla gratis desde tus compras en el App Store.
- ¿Cómo pido un reembolso?
- Las compras las gestiona Apple. Visita reportaproblem.apple.com.
